At every company I have ever worked obtaining and receiving approval for customer testimonials has been akin to giving blood — people like the idea but when it comes down to deliver many people don’t come through. At Taleo, a talent management SaaS company, (where I work as Marketing Director for their SMB product line) we have implemented a program that has incentives for our sales team to refer customers to marketing and integrates with Salesfoce.com for ease of use and metrics.
