At every company I have ever worked obtaining and receiving approval for customer testimonials has been akin to giving blood — people like the idea but when it comes down to deliver many people don’t come through. At Taleo, a talent management SaaS company, (where I work as Marketing Director for their SMB product line) we have implemented a program that has incentives for our sales team to refer customers to marketing and integrates with Salesfoce.com for ease of use and metrics. Let me explain:
Community thinking
I was recently interviewed by Jennifer Jones for her podcast Marketing Voices about social media. Jennifer works with many small to medium sized companies and wanted to hear my perspectice on communities for businesses. Twitter – Professional or Personal?
When I first signed up for a twitter account I signed up at DuncanEgan and started to do personal tweets. I found that what I was saying really wasn’t all that interesting and that people don’t care that I am shopping at the mall (maybe a few people that might get gifts care).
Twitter and your business
